SAM’s PLACE is a Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) community provider of Texas Home Living (TxHmL) and Home and Community-based Service (HCS) program services in the Wharton county area, providing individualized supports and services to people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

Our mission/goal is to assist people with IDD in achieving their desired level of cognitive, physical, social, mental, spiritual, etc stability while acquiring other self help skills, enhancing their personal strengths and interests, and increasing their independence.

Although a new community provider, our administrative team’s experience in caring for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities total more than 100 years and consists of two registered nurses, a case manager, an administrator, and a behavioral health specialist.
